Which type of bag is best for your needs biodegradable, compostable, or recyclable bags?
The answer to this question depends on a few factors, including what youll be using the bags for and what type of disposal options are available to you Durable dog training pads.
If youll be using the bags for food waste, biodegradable bags are a good option. These bags will break down in a landfill, which means they wont contribute to harmful methane gas emissions. However, biodegradable bags often cost more than other types of bags, so they may not be the best option if youre on a budget.
Compostable bags are another good option for dog waste. Unlike biodegradable bags, compostable bags can be placed in your home compost bin. This means they wont take up space in a landfill. Compostable bags often cost more than biodegradable bags, but they are better for the environment
What size bag do you need small, medium, or large bags?
Most people who have dogs know the drill before you head out for a walk, grab a bag (or two) and be prepared to pick up after your pup. But what happens when youre caught without a bag? Or, worse yet, youve brought the wrong size bag? No one wants to be that person who leaves a big steaming pile of dog poop on the sidewalk, so its important to know how to choose the right size bag for the job.
For small dogs, a small bag should suffice. But if youve got a medium or large dog, youre going to need a bigger bag preferably one thats big enough to tie off at the top. And if youve got more than one dog, you might even need a jumbo-sized bag. The last thing you want is to run out of room in your bag halfway through your walk!
So next time youre grabbing bags before heading out for a walk, make sure youve got the right size for the job. Your fellow pedestrians will thank you for it.
How many bags will you need per month/week/day?
How often do you scoop your dogs poop? Once a day? Twice a day? More? If you scoop twice a day, thats 14 times a month. And if you use one bag each time, thats 14 bags a month. But lets say you only scoop once a day. Thats still 7 bags a week or 30-31 bags a month. Then there are those of us who have multiple dogs. I have three small dogs, so Im constantly scooping! I probably go through at least one 40-count box of poo bags every other week. Thats about 160 poo bags per month! Wow, when you think about it like that, it really adds up, doesnt it? So the next time youre at the store, pick up an extra box (or two) of poo bags and be prepared for whatever comes your way.
